You are Frequency and Vibration, more than Flesh and Bone
By the BeAwakeAwareAlive.com team
We are taught to see ourselves as solid. A collection of bones, muscles, and organs, neatly packaged in a layer of skin. We are taught that we are finite, discrete beings moving through a neutral, empty space. This is the view from the five senses, the world of Newtonian physics, a world of billiard balls and predictable trajectories. It is a useful model for building bridges and balancing checkbooks, but it is a profoundly incomplete description of who and what you are.
The deeper truth, whispered by quantum physics and echoed by ancient mystics, is that you are not solid at all. You are a symphony of energy. You are frequency and vibration, a dynamic, pulsating field of information and potential, temporarily coalesced into the form you call "you." To understand this is to unlock a new paradigm of health, happiness, and human potential.
The Illusion of the Solid Self
Let’s begin at the smallest scale. If you were to zoom in on the atoms that make up your body, you would find that they are 99.9999% empty space. The nucleus of an atom is like a tiny pebble in the center of a vast cathedral, with electrons flitting about in a cloud of probability. These particles are not tiny, solid objects; they are excitations of underlying fields. They are, in essence, vibrational packets of energy. Your hand, which feels so solid when you slap a table, is a cloud of vibrating energy fields interacting with another cloud of vibrating energy fields. The sensation of solidity is an illusion created by the electromagnetic repulsion between atoms.
So, if you are not solid matter, what are you? You are a complex, multifaceted vibrational being. Every part of you has a frequency:
- Your Physical Body: Your heart has an electromagnetic field that can be measured several feet outside your body. Your brain produces electrical waves - delta, theta, alpha, beta, gamma - each corresponding to different states of consciousness. Every cell, every organ, has its own resonant frequency.
- Your Thoughts: A thought is not just an abstract concept. It is a measurable electrical and chemical event. Every thought you have generates a specific frequency in your brain. Repetitive thoughts create stronger, more entrenched neural pathways, like a song played over and over until it becomes a part of the background music of your life.
- Your Emotions: An emotion is a complex symphony of neuropeptides, hormones, and electrical signals. The frequency of love, for example, is a high, coherent, and expansive vibration. The frequency of fear is a low, chaotic, and contractive one. You have felt this your entire life: the heavy, dense feeling of sadness versus the light, airy feeling of joy.
You are not a static noun; you are a dynamic verb. You are not a thing, you are a process. You are a river of energy, constantly flowing, constantly vibrating, constantly broadcasting and receiving.
The Universe is a Symphony
This principle extends far beyond your skin. Everything in the universe has a frequency. The chair you're sitting on, the device you're reading this on, the music you listen to, the color of the sky - all have a unique vibratory signature. The entire cosmos is not a silent, empty void but a grand, symphonic orchestra of unimaginable complexity.
This is where the power of resonance comes in. Resonance is the phenomenon where a vibrating system or external force drives another system to vibrate with greater amplitude at specific frequencies. Think of a tuning fork. If you strike one and hold it near another, the second one will begin to hum at the same frequency without being touched.
This is happening to you all the time. You are constantly tuning into the frequencies around you and resonating with them.
- Environmental Resonance: Have you ever noticed how a cluttered, chaotic room makes you feel tense and scattered? That's resonance with a low-vibration environment. Conversely, walking into a clean, sunlit, or beautifully designed space can instantly make you feel calm and uplifted. You are resonating with the frequency of that space.
- Social Resonance: We call it "picking up on someone's vibe." We are constantly reading and resonating with the emotional frequencies of the people around us. Have you ever felt drained after being around a chronic complainer? Have you ever felt energized and inspired after a conversation with a passionate, optimistic person? You were resonating with their frequency.
- Media Resonance: The news you watch, the music you listen to, the social media you scroll through - these are not neutral. They are all broadcasting specific frequencies. A constant diet of fear-based news will attune you to the frequency of fear. Uplifting music will attune you to the frequency of joy.
You are not an island. You are a tuning fork in a universe full of other tuning forks.
Tuning Your Instrument: The Practice of Vibration Management
Understanding that you are frequency and vibration is not just an intellectual exercise; it is a practical guide for living a powerful, deliberate life. It means you are not a victim of your circumstances, but a co-creator of your reality. Your primary job is to become a conscious steward of your own energy.
How do you do this? You become a deliberate tuner of your instrument.
1. Become Aware of Your Baseline Frequency. What is the general tone of your life? Are you mostly anxious, resentful, and fearful (low frequency)? Or are you generally peaceful, curious, and hopeful (high frequency)? Simply observing your emotional state without judgment is the first step. Your emotions are the most accurate feedback mechanism you have for your vibrational state.
2. Master Your Input. Be ruthlessly discerning about what you allow into your energy field. This includes the food you eat, the conversations you engage in, the media you consume, and the physical environments you inhabit. Ask yourself: "Does this raise my vibration or lower it?" Choose the people, places, and experiences that make you feel expansive, not contractive.
3. Elevate Your Internal State. You can change your frequency from the inside out. The most powerful tools for this are:
Conscious Breathing: Slow, deep breaths from the diaphragm calm your nervous system and shift you out of a fight-or-flight (low frequency) state into a rest-and-digest (higher frequency) state.
Meditation and Mindfulness: These practices teach you to observe your thoughts and emotions without getting swept away by them. They help you find the quiet, stable, high-frequency center within the storm of your mind.
Gratitude: Gratitude is one of the highest vibrations you can embody. It is impossible to feel fear and gratitude at the same time. Take a moment each day to genuinely feel grateful for the small things - the warmth of the sun, a cup of tea, a friend's smile.
Movement: Your body craves movement. Yoga, dancing, walking in nature, or any form of joyful movement helps to move stuck energy and raise your overall vibration.
4. Radiate Your Chosen Frequency. Once you have cultivated a higher frequency within yourself, you don't have to force it on the world. It radiates naturally. By being a beacon of peace, joy, and love, you become a tuning fork for everyone you meet, inviting them, by the gentle law of resonance, to match your tone.
You are not a helpless cog in a mechanical universe. You are a powerful, energetic being. You are a broadcasting station of consciousness. The life you experience is a direct reflection of the frequency you are emitting. Flesh and bone are merely the vehicle. The driver is your energy, your vibration, your frequency.
So, what frequency will you choose to broadcast today? The world is listening.
